We Are Soldiers We Have Guns stole my heart a couple of months back. She makes this quaint, indie, pop music thats simple yet sounds extremely full at the same time. This is real indie.

I've only had this album for a month or two and it's quickly became one of my favorites. I really don't know how to describe their music, so download it and see for yourself.
"Masters of the Universe is a 2000 album from underground Hip Hop duo Binary Star. The release is a remixed and rearranged version of their 1999 debut Waterworld. The album was one of the most acclaimed underground Hip Hop releases of 2000, though it only sold around 20,000 copies." - Wikipedia.

Future Shock is Herbie Hancock's 35th studio album and the first of his electro-jazz era. The album features the song Rockit which was a huge hit and the video for the song won him a grammy for best R&B performance. You'll be poppin and lockin all night.

"Rejoicing in the Hands (full title Rejoicing in the Hands of the Golden Empress) is the third studio album from psych folk musician Devendra Banhart and the second full release for the label Young God. It was recorded during 2003 and was released on April 24, 2004."
This album is probably Devendra's best one, it's your basic acoustic guitar folk with vocals that are actually pretty good for a folk artist. Pretty calming and as catchy as any other album out there, if you like folk (and even if you don't) it's definitely worth listening to.
note: he went out with Natalie Portman, instantly making him awesome.
Personal Favorite Track: The Body Breaks, but I like every single track regardless.
Most Popular (Charts wise): Insect Eyes, The Body Breaks

Tom Wait's 16th album, released on April 16,1999. This album won a Grammy for Best Comtemporary Folk Album and is placed 416th on Rolling Stone's "best 500 albums of all time" (so eat it wahzoo). Anyways, it sounds like a mix of folk / blues / rock / wtf. Especially the last part, if you've never heard Tom Waits before you'll probably be wondering what you're listening to for a little bit but it does grow on you after a while, plus his voice is cool.
so enjoy and stuff.
Personal Favorite Track : Come On Up To The House
Most Popular Track (charts wise): Hold On
Only Dead Prez album worth listening to. Their best effort BY FARRR.
Head Hunters is Herbie Hancocks twelfth studio album. It marks a time when Hancock was taking jazz in totally new direction (jazz fusion). This album influenced a number of jazz funk and hip hop artists, and was 498 on Rolling Stones list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It has a relaxed funky groove that anyone can enjoy.
"Nathaniel Merriweather Presents... Lovage: Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By is the debut and so far only album of Lovage, released in 2001. Produced by Dan the Automator. Lovage is a studio supergroup featuring Dan the Automator producing, Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles on vocals, and Kid Koala on the turntables. It is currently out of print.
Dan the Automator provides trip hop beats while the vocals mostly consist of Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles engaging in sultry and provocative dialogue. Nevertheless, the overall tone of the album is tongue-in-cheek."
Great relaxing album that's right in between trip hop and hip-hop. If you like either genre go ahead and download, I'm fairly sure you won't be disappointed.
